14 Ohio State Players Invited To Virtual NFL Scouting Combine
While the National Football League is not holding its traditional scouting combine in Indianapolis this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, 14 former Ohio State players were invited to participate in the virtual interviews and psychological testing that typical takes place alongside physical workouts.
That list includes quarterback Justin Fields; running back Trey Sermon; offensive guard Wyatt Davis; center Josh Myers; tight end Luke Farrell; defensive end Jonathon Cooper; defensive tackle Tommy Togiai; linebackers Tuf Borland, Baron Browning, Justin Hilliard and Pete Werner; cornerback Shaun Wade; kicker Blake Haubeil; and punter Drue Chrisman.
The NFL has not yet released a full listed of invitees, though the Buckeyes should be at or near the top of the list when it comes to the number of players participating.
Those 14 players, as well as former wide receiver C.J. Saunders and tight end Jake Hausmann, will also get the chance to work out in front of NFL scouts during Ohio State’s Pro Day on March 30. The NFL Draft, meanwhile, will be held in Cleveland on April 29-May 1.
