Ohio State has earned its fourth commitment in 2023 with Dublin (Ohio) Coffman four-star defensive lineman Will Smith Jr. (6-3, 260), who committed to the Buckeyes on Sunday evening.
Smith, the son of former Ohio State and NFL defensive end Will Smith, is rated as the No. 540 overall prospect in 2023 and the No. 71 defensive lineman in the class.
He was offered by Ohio State on Jan. 14, and visited the school a number of times last fall. He held additional offers from Boston College, Duke, Illinois, Northwestern and Pitt, among others.
Smith joins Thompson’s Station (Tenn.) Independence four-star tight end Ty Lockwood, Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne four-star offensive tackle Josh Padilla and Cocoa (Fla.) four-star safety Cedrick Hawkins as Ohio State’s commits in 2023.
