Availability Report: All Ohio State Starters Available For Oregon Game
For Ohio State’s biggest game of the season it will have all starters available, including sophomore wide receiver Carnell Tate, who was held out for the Buckeyes’ 35-7 win over Iowa on Oct. 5.
If all starters play, it will be Ohio State’s first time this season that everyone is able to get onto the field in a game. Linebacker Cody Simon and left guard Donovan Jackson missed Week 1, while Jackson was held out for the Week 2 win as well. Defensive lineman Tyleik Williams missed the next two weeks before Tate was out against the Hawkeyes.
Tate was listed as questionable before the game last week, but head coach Ryan Day said afterwards that he could have played if the Buckeyes needed him.
The only player on the availability report against Oregon is TC Caffey, who injured his knee over the offseason and will miss the entire year.
Part of the reason Day had been keeping some of his players out an extra week was to try to get them back to 100 percent for some of the bigger games, which looks like it could pay off against the No. 3 Ducks on Saturday.
