To kick off Big Ten media days, conference commissioner Tony Petitti announced that the Big Ten championship game will remain at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts, through at least 2028.
With four west coast teams joining the Big Ten this season in Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington, there was a chance that the game could have been moved to a location out west, but that won’t be the case for the time being.
Since 2011, when the Big Ten began holding a championship game, it has been held at Lucas Oil Stadium every year. Petitti did say that he expects the game to be held at different locations in the future, but it will remain in the Midwest for at least five more years.
