BSB TV: Dwayne Haskins, Terry McLaurin, Jordan Fuller Process No. 2 Ohio State’s Lopsided Loss At Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins, fifth-year senior Terry McLaurin and junior safety Jordan Fuller tried to put No. 2 Ohio State’s 49-20 upset at Purdue into words Saturday after the game. After the Boilermakers (4-3, 3-1) knocked off the Buckeyes (7-1, 4-1), where does OSU go from here with Big Ten and College Football Playoff title aspirations still in mind?
Dwayne Haskins
On the message to the team after the loss…
“Kind of happened last year vs. Iowa (a 55-24 loss on Nov. 4). We still are everywhere we wanted to be. We can still make the Big Ten championship. We’ve got to do what we do to possibly make the playoffs, but we still have a lot of football ahead of us.”
Terry McLaurin
On if anything needs to change with the offense…
“I feel like it’s just execution. Our plays work, been running the same plays all year. Defense got some stops and as an offense we just want to execute a lot better. We’re not pointing fingers. We just run the plays that our coaches call and that we practice all week.”
Jordan Fuller
On how the issues from the past few weeks caught up with the defense…
“To uphold the standard at Ohio State, all those big plays aren’t what we want at all. That’s definitely been the message, but we just couldn’t get it done tonight.”
