Ohio State begins fall camp this morning at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, and with that comes a slew of new jersey numbers.
Starting with the true freshman who did not enroll early for spring camp, wide receiver Mylan Graham will wear No. 5, punter Nick McLarty will wear No. 19, linebacker Payton Pierce will wear No. 26, safety Leroy Roker will wear No. 28, walk-on long snapper will wear No. 41, defensive lineman Dominic Kirks will wear No. 55, offensive lineman Gabe VanSickle will wear No. 58 and tight ends Demarion Witten and Max LeBlanc will don Nos. 81 and 86, respectively.
Ohio State’s new transfers will also make their debut in the Scarlet and Gray, with former South Carolina safety Keenan Nelson Jr. wearing No. 16, former Buffalo punter wearing No. 35 and former Presbyterian wide receiver and preferred walk-on Shawn Lodge donning No. 80.
Only one returning Buckeye has switched their jersey number for this season, that being sophomore safety Malik Hartford, who trades in his No. 25 jersey from his freshman year for a No. 9 uniform as a sophomore.
Ohio State will hold its first of 25 fall football practices Thursday morning at 9 a.m, followed by head coach Ryan Day’s first press conference of camp. Buckeye Sports Bulletin will be in attendance for the entire spring practice as well as Day’s press conference, updating readers with stories and posts on the BuckeyeSports.com Fan Forum.
