Ohio State will be without the services of two of its top defensive players for its game against Rutgers Saturday, as cornerback Denzel Burke and safety Lathan Ransom are among six players listed as out on the injury report.
Burke had returned last week against Wisconsin after missing the Oct. 21 game against Penn State with a lower body injury, which he appeared to suffer during the third quarter of the Buckeyes win over Purdue on Oct. 14. His ailment for this week is unknown.
Ransom did not travel with the team this weekend after sustaining what appeared to be a non-contact leg injury last week against Wisconsin. The injury forced him to be carted off the field and taken to the locker room in the second half.
Burke and Ransom are joined on the injury list by five other Buckeyes: Kyion Grayes, Jason Moore, Joe Royer and Miyan Williams, who was ruled out for the season with an undisclosed injury on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes are without the services of six players, but they will look to return wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to the lineup, who had missed the last three games after suffering a lower-body injury against Maryland. Ebguka was listed as active against the Badgers but did not play a snap.
