Chris Olave Sign Rookie Contract With New Orleans Saints
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a four-year, $19,271,874 million deal with first-round pick and former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave that is fully guaranteed.
Olave was selected to The Big Easy with the No. 11 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, just one pick after former Ohio State receiver Garrett Wilson, who went to the New York Jets at No. 10.
Olave is the third former Buckeye to sign his rookie deal, joining offensive lineman Thayer Munford and defensive end Tyreke Smith.
Munford – who was selected in the seventh round with the No. 238 overall pick – signed a four-year deal with the Raiders worth $3,757,060 with a $97,060 signing bonus. Smith, meanwhile, was taken with the No. 158 overall pick by the Seattle Seahawks, and signed a four-year deal worth $3,980,975 with a $320,976 signing bonus.
Wilson, along with tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who was selected with the No. 101 pick by the Jets, are still waiting to sign their contracts, while offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere, picked at No. 69, is awaiting his contract with the Tennessee Titans.
