Ohio State will compete in its 16th Rose Bowl without several key contributors, including linebacker Cody Simon, cornerback Sevyn Banks and defensive back Marcus Williamson.
Four Buckeyes made headlines earlier this week, announcing they would opt-out of their team’s bowl game to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft. Wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere and defensive tackle Haskell Garrett will not suit up against Utah.
Olave, Wilson and Petit-Frere are not on the status report. However, Garrett’s name is on the list.
