College GameDay To Be In South Bend For Ohio State Vs. Notre Dame
Ohio State will head to South Bend, Ind. to face off against No. 9 Notre Dame under the lights on Sept. 23, and it has officially been announced that ESPN’s College GameDay will be in attendance for the matchup. The game will be aired on NBC at 7:30 p.m.
The game is going to be a top-10 matchup which the Buckeyes have gotten the better of in recent years. Last year’s season opener was a 21-10 win for OSU in Columbus over the Fighting Irish, making it their fifth straight win over them. College GameDay was also in attendance for that game.
This will be only the eighth time the two teams have played each other. The last time Notre Dame came out of this game on top was all the way back in the 1936 season when they bested the Buckeyes in what was apparently a defensive battle, 7-2.
This will be Ohio State’s 57th appearance on the show, which is the most all time, and they will be looking for their 39th win while featured on the show, which they also lead every other team in.
