Two Columbus sports staples are teaming up this fall.
The Columbus Clippers announced Friday that they will honor Ohio State with a special Buckeye-themed night at Huntington Park on Sept. 18.
The highlight of the evening will be on the field, where the Guardians’ Triple-A affiliate will suit up in custom Ohio State-inspired jerseys.
The uniforms come loaded with nods to Ohio State’s deep history, including helmet striping on the sleeves, a Buckeye leaf emblem on the back and a scarlet outline of Ohio sporting a gray star over Columbus.
