Former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions accepted a defensive coordinator position with Mumford High School, according to reports from Detroit News.
Stalions who was a key figure in Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scandal, resigned from the program after the announcement of an NCAA investigation into the sign-stealing operation.
As part of the operation, Stalions allegedly attended future opponents’ games to decipher signs. In-person scouting is prohibited by the NCAA, which already handed Michigan a Notice of Allegations, according to a draft obtained by ESPN on Aug. 4.
According to the draft obtained by ESPN, Stalions attended at least 13 opponents’ games from 2021-23 on 58 occasions.
The draft, which could be subject to change, also accused current Michigan head coach and former offensive coordinator, Sherrone Moore of deleting a thread of 52 text messages sent to Stalions.
Stalions was one of four former Michigan staffers to be accused of committing level 1 violations according to the draft obtained by ESPN, along with former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and Michigan staffers Chris Partridge and Denard Robinson.
Stalions will join a Mumford High School team that went 1-8 in the 2023 season in Division 2.
Stalions is rumored to speak about his role in the alleged sing-stealing operation in an episode of the Netflix documentary series, “Untold,” set to come out on Aug 27.
