With a new college football video coming out later this month for the first time in nearly 11 years, Ohio State is rated very highly with eight players making the top 100 soon before the EA Sports release College Football 25.
Eight players in the top 100 is more than any other team in the country, followed by Alabama and Georgia, who both have six. Michigan and Oregon are second in the Big Ten with five each.
Ohio State’s top-rated player is sophomore safety Caleb Downs, who has the fifth-highest rating in the game as a 95 overall. Running back Quinshon Judkins is ninth overall with a 95 rating.
They are followed by 93 overall wide receiver Emeka Egbuka at No. 19, running back TreVeyon Henderson (93 overall, No. 23), defensive end Jack Sawyer (92 overall, No. 29), offensive lineman Donovan Jackson (91 overall, No. 46), cornerback Denzel Burke (91 overall, No. 51) and defensive lineman Tyleik Williams (91 overall, No. 54).
With the offseason that the Buckeyes had, retaining so much talent and bringing in talented transfers, it’s no surprise that they have the most players in the top 100.
Ohio State was ranked the second-best overall team in the game with a 93 overall, trailing only Georgia who is a 95 overall, but the Buckeyes’ defense was rated the best in the game with a 96 overall, beating out the Bulldogs by two.
Full rosters are set to be released later on Wednesday. The game is set to release on July 19 and will be available for purchase on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
