As has long been expected, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord (6-1, 185) has flipped his commitment to in-state Oregon on the first day of the early signing period.
He had been committed to Ohio State since Feb. 4, but had since taken many visits to other schools, visiting Oregon for their win over Ohio State on Oct. 12, also visiting Auburn multiple times as well as Alabama and Florida.
It’s a big blow to the Buckeyes 2025 class since he is rated the No. 11 overall player in the cycle, but not an unexpected one, and Ohio State has taken steps to try to shore up the cornerback group in the class, adding Cartersville, Ga., three-star cornerback Jordyn Woods (6-3, 175) — who was previosuly committed to Cincinnati — to the class, and making a run at Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard three-star cornerback Aydan West (6-0, 184), who already revealed he is sticking with Michigan State.
The Buckeyes also still have Houston North Shore five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez (6-2, 170) who already signed with Ohio State on Wednesday. Sanchez is the Buckeyes top-ranked player in the 2025 class.
