Ohio State got its eighth commitment of the 2026 class on Monday and it was a big one, with five-star safety Blaine Bradford pledging his services to the Buckeyes.

The Baton Rouge, La., native is the No. 1 safety in the country and the No. 23 overall player in the country according to 247Sports composite ranking. He is the first safety that Matt Guerrieri has landed this cycle.

Bradford chose the Buckeyes over staying in-state with LSU, and Texas.

Bradford is the second five-star player in the 2026 class for Ohio State, joining wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.
