Five-Star Safety KJ Bolden To Announce College Commitment On Aug. 5
One of Ohio State’s top remaining targets in 2024 has set his commitment date.
Buford, Ga., five-star safety KJ Bolden (6-1, 185) will announce his commitment on Aug. 5, deciding between Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Ohio State. Bolden is the No. 6 overall prospect in the class and is the top-ranked safety.
He took official visits to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State in June and also took an unofficial trip to Florida State, with one scheduled for Auburn in late July, according to a report from 247Sports.
“My experience in Columbus was amazing,” Bolden said after his visit to Ohio State. “I really enjoyed myself this weekend. Ohio State has a great culture that is built around family, brotherhood and development. I met with Chase Young and was able to speak with him about Ohio State and just life in general. He gave me some great advice that I will take with me and apply to my everyday life.
“I enjoyed being able to spend a lot of time with Coach (Ryan) Day and his family and Coach (Perry) Elliano and his family. Ohio State has a special place in my heart.”
Ohio State already has one safety committed in West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep four-star Jaylen McClain (6-0, 185), and is also pursing Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star Peyton Woodyard (6-2, 188), who is committed to Georgia, and Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star Zaquan Patterson (6-0, 185).
