Ohio State has its first transfer portal commitment in former Minnesota offensive tackle Phillip Daniels (6-5, 315). Daniels is the No. 4 ranked offensive tackle prospect and the No. 37-ranked overall prospect in the transfer portal and made four starts for the Golden Gophers last season.
Daniels will come into Columbus as a redshirt sophomore and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Daniels, a Cincinnati native who attended Princeton High School was the No. 770-th ranked prospect out of high school and the 64th-ranked interior offensive line prospect.
Daniels’ commitment comes two weeks after Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons declared for the NFL Draft.
