For already the second time in her brief WNBA career, former Ohio State guard Taylor Mikesell has been released by her team, this time by the Atlanta Dream.
Mikesell was released by the Dream on Monday after appearing in six games, averaging 2.8 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists on 50.0 percent shooting, including a 42.9 percent clip from deep.
Mikesell was taken with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, but was released just days before the season was set to begin. After a couple of weeks on the open market, Mikesell was picked up by the Dream on June 5.
Mikesell played two seasons at Ohio State, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors both years, and averaged 17.9 points per game while shooting 44.2 percent from deep.
