Former Ohio State Offensive Line Coach Greg Studrawa Hired As Head Coach Of High School Football Powerhouse IMG Academy

Former Ohio State offensive line coach Greg Studrawa found a new home on Monday when he was named the head coach of high school football powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.
Studrawa, 60, joins IMG four years after being let go by the Buckeyes in 2021 as offensive line coach, a position he spent five seasons in under both head coaches Urban Meyer and Ryan Day. In that role, he most notably helped with the development of current NFL offensive linemen such as Paris Johnson Jr., Dawand Jones, Thayner Munford Jr., Josh Myers and Nicholas Petit-Frere, among others.
The Fostoria, Ohio, native had not served as a coach in the United States since but did have a recent stint as offensive coordinator for the Cologne Centurions in the Europe League of Football. In addition to those stints, Studrawa most notably was offensive line coach at LSU under Les Miles from 2007-2013 and at Mayland from 2014-15.
“The IMG Academy National Football Team head coaching position is one of the premier coaching jobs in America, and Greg is the perfect candidate to lead our student-athletes on and off the field,” IMG Academy Director of Football Kyle Brey said in a press release. “He brings a wealth of experience at the highest levels of college football, including national championship success that will benefit our student-athletes. We believe his championship mindset, deep recruiting connections, and commitment to providing an unrivaled experience for our student-athletes will elevate our program and continue our tradition of excellence on the national stage.”
Studrawa — who has over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience at seven different schools — will bring his experience to an IMG program that has produced several NFL and college players in recent years, such as current Buckeyes Carnell Tate and Jayden Fielding.
Ohio State often recruits players from IMG Academy, and the two schools’ relationship might be strengthened now that the former Buckeye Studrawa is leading the high school powerhouse.
