Former Ohio State offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi will still be in the Big Ten next season now that he has committed to Washington after entering the transfer portal a week ago.
He spent five seasons with the Buckeyes and appeared in 35 games, struggling to find a consistent role on the line. He wasn’t in the starting group last season when three spots opened up and with Seth McLaughlin transferring in, the line was more experienced and crowded, making it tougher to see a path to playing time in 2024.
Vimahi came to Ohio State as a four-star prospect out of Kahuku, Hawaii, and was ranked the 124th player in the country by 247Sports composite rankings. He was the No. 7 offensive guard and the No. 2 overall player in the state of Hawaii in the class of 2019.
There were some changes in the Huskies offensive line after last season’s championship run in which they lost to Michigan, so Vimahi is betting on earning a spot there for his final season of eligibility.
