Former Ohio State Running Back Chip Trayanum Commits To Kentucky
Former Ohio State running back Chip Trayanum who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 6 has announced that he has committed to play at Kentucky for hi final season of eligibility.
This is Trayanum’s second time transferring after he came to Ohio State from Arizona State to primarily play as a linebacker. When the backfield suffered multiple injuries in the 2022 season, Trayanum got the chance to switch back to running back and impressed enough to stay there for this season in which he was the second-leading rusher on the team with 373 yards and three touchdowns on 85 carries.
In his two seasons with the Buckeyes he had 100 carries for 465 yards and three touchdowns.
The most memorable moment of his Buckeye career is without a doubt the 1-yard touchdown he scored at the end of the game against Notre Dame with one second left on the clock to give the Buckeyes a 17-14 win over the Fighting Irish.
Trayanum is just one of 14 transfers to leave Ohio State which include another running back Evan Pryor, quarterback Kyle McCord and wide receiver Julian Fleming, among others.
