Former OSU Defensive Tackle Taron Vincent Signs Contract With Los Angeles Rams
Former Ohio State defensive tackle Taron Vincent’s NFL pursuits continued on Monday after he reportedly signed a contract with the Los Angeles Rams.
After going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft, Vincent received a rookie minicamp invite from the Buffalo Bills on May 1. Two weeks later, Vincent secured an undrafted free agent contract with the Rams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Vincent joined the Buckeyes as a four-star prospect out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, emerging as the No. 2 defensive tackle in the 2018 recruiting class. During his five seasons at Ohio State, Vincent racked up 58 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 2 1/2 sacks while aiding the Buckeyes to multiple Big Ten titles and College Football Playoff appearances.
In his senior season, Vincent started in all 13 games for the Buckeyes, collecting a career-best 25 tackles to go along with 2 1/2 tackles for loss and 1/2 sacks.
Vincent now joins the Rams’ 90-man roster, but will need to leave his mark on Los Angeles’ coaches during training camp and the preseason in order to carve out a spot when the Rams cut their roster down to 53 players prior to the beginning of the regular season.
