Former Wisconsin Pledge, Three-Star Safety Cody Haddad Commits To Ohio State
Ohio State added a second commitment on Saturday, earning a pledge from Cleveland St. Ignatius three-star safety Cody Haddad (6-1, 175).
Haddad is the No. 519 overall prospect and No. 30 athlete in the class, and committed to Ohio State after previously being pledged to Wisconsin. He originally committed to the Badgers on Jan. 17, but after the Buckeyes offered just a few days later, he backed off his commitment on April 1.
His commitment comes during his visit to Ohio State for the Spring Game, one of several visits Haddad has taken to Columbus in recent weeks.
Haddad was injured during much of his junior season but still finished with 42 tackles, three forced fumbles and four interceptions, and should be primed for a big senior season after committing to Ohio State.
Haddad is the second commitment of the day for Ohio State, joining Washington, Okla., four-star tight end Nate Roberts (6-4, 235), and the second pledge overall at safety, joining Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star DeShawn Stewart (6-2, 185).
