Four-Star Cornerback Blake Woodby Joins Ohio State’s 2025 Recruiting Class
The first defensive commitment for 2025 joined Ohio State’s class on Saturday as Baltimore St. Frances Academy four-star cornerback Blake Woodby (5-11, 180) announced his pledge to the Buckeyes.
Woodby is the No. 79 overall prospect and ninth-ranked cornerback in the class, and he chose Ohio State over Alabama, Clemson, Oregon and Tennessee. He was offered by the Buckeyes in December and returned for a visit in June, and was also in attendance for Ohio State’s win over Maryland a week ahead of his eventual commitment.
Woodby is a two-way player for St. Frances, lining up as a slot receiver and outside cornerback, and is a physical player that frequently gets his hands on the ball in coverage.
With Woodby in the fold at cornerback, Ohio State is also looking at Houston North Shore five-star Devin Sanchez (6-2, 170), Buford, Ga., four-star Devin Williams (5-11, 168) and Indianapolis Ben Davis four-star Mark Zackery IV (6-0, 164), among others.
