Four-Star Forward Ella Hobbs Joins Ohio State’s 2024 Recruiting Class
Ohio State women’s basketball team added the program’s second commitment in 2024 on Sunday, earning a verbal pledge from Concord (N.C) J.M. Robinson four-star forward Ella Hobbs (6-3).
According to ESPN, she is the 83rd-ranked prospect in the country. She selected the Buckeyes over her other top schools, including Miami (Fla.), Michigan, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Hobbs started her career with her hometown J.M. Robinson, but played this past season at 1 of 1 Prep in Charlotte, where she averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. She will transfer back to the Bulldogs, though, and will spend her senior campaign there. She will play alongside her younger sister, Camri, who is a 6-1 wing in the 2026 recruiting class.
Hobbs is joined in the 2024 recruiting class by Cincinnati West Clermont forward Seini Hicks, who committed to the Buckeyes in April.
