Ohio State added its sixth commitment in the 2026 class on Tuesday when Akron Hoban four-star offensive tackle Sam Greer (6-7, 310) pledged his services to the Buckeyes.

He is the second offensive lineman this month to commit to Ohio State following the commitment of Avon Lake, Ohio, four-star offensive tackle Maxwell Riley (6-5, 280) on March 10. That makes him the second commitment for new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen already in his short time with the Buckeyes.

Greer is the No. 188 player in the country, the No. 17 offensive tackle and the No. 7 player in the state of Ohio according to 247Sports composite rankings.

He now joins five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., Riley, four-star cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon, four-star wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and four-star tight end Corbyn Fordham in the 2026 class.
