Four-Star Tight End Nate Roberts Commits To Ohio State
Ohio State added a commitment on Saturday morning from Washington, Okla., four-star tight end Nate Roberts (6-4, 235), the Buckeyes’ first pledge at the position.
Roberts is the No. 118 overall prospect and fifth-ranked tight end in the class, and he chose Ohio State over Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Penn State after visiting Columbus for the spring game. Roberts had previously been committed to Notre Dame, but backed off his pledge to the Fighting Irish in August.
He had 38 receptions for 816 yartds and eight touchdowns last season, building on a sophomore campaign in which he had 33 catches for 705 yards and 11 touchdowns. While his talent in high school was most clear as a receiver, he was also an accomplished blocker, and will bring versatility once he arrives at Ohio State.
Roberts is the 12th commitment in Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class. With the Buckeyes looking to take two tight ends, Leo, Ind., four-star Brock Schott (6-3, 215) remains another priority target for Ohio State and tight ends coach Keenan Bailey.
