J.K. Dobbins Passes Ezekiel Elliott For No. 2 On Ohio State All-Time Rushing List
Ohio State junior running back J.K. Dobbins passed former standout Ezekiel Elliott for second in school history in career rushing yards.
Dobbins has 61 yards against Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., with the game still in the first quarter.
With the yardage, the junior co-captain has amassed 3,963 yards in his three-year Buckeye career, surpassing the 3,961 gained by Elliott from 2013-15.
The La Salle, Texas native has 1,507 rushing yards on the season, following a sophomore season where he ran for 1,053 yards and a freshman campaign where he gained 1,403.
Dobbins only trails two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin, who rushed for an astounding 5,589 yards from 1972-75.
Additionally, Dobbins’ 37 career touchdowns are tied for seventh in school history with Tim Spencer and Howard “Hopalong” Cassady, trailing Pete Johnson (58), Keith Byars (50), Eddie George (45), Ezekiel Elliott (44), J.T. Barrett (43) and Carlos Hyde (41).
