Ohio State will be without five players for its home opener against Youngstown State, while fifth-year safety Josh Proctor is listed as questionable.
Proctor, who logged four tackles and a pass breakup in the Buckeyes’ season opener against Indiana, will be a game-time decision for Ohio State. Both head coach Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles indicated that Proctor would serve as the starting adjuster/free safety moving forward, but his status today is now in question.
Sophomore wide receiver Kyion Grayes, junior tight end Zach Herbstreit, freshman defensive lineman Will Smith Jr., junior wide receiver Reis Stocksdale and senior linebacker Kourt Williams II are inactive for the second-consecutive game.
Freshman safety Jayden Bonsu, sophomore running back T.C. Caffey and junior wide receiver Joop Mitchell — who were listed as inactive for the season opener against Indiana — are off the injury report.
