Josh Simmons Reportedly Declares For 2025 NFL Draft

Ohio State left tackle Josh Simmons is declaring for the NFL draft according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Simmons was having his best season at the college level with the Buckeyes before he suffered a season-ending injury in the 32-31 loss to Oregon on Oct. 12. With Simmons in the game, Ohio State’s offensive line was having a great year overall and he contributed to it being a finalist for the Joe Moore Award.

Simmons had another year of eligibility remaining and could have decided to come back to Columbus, but he will instead try to heal up to be ready for an NFL season next fall, and will be fully ready for training camp.

With Simmons, left guard/tackle Donovan Jackson, center Seth McLaughlin and right tackle Josh Fryar – who also suffered a season-ending injury – leaving the Buckeyes after this season, the 2025 team will have to almost completely replace the offensive line next year.
