Three-time All-Big Ten forward Cotie McMahon entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, according to reports.

McMahon was the Buckeyes’ leading-scorer in 2024-25 and averaged 16.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on the way to earning her second-straight All-Big Ten First Team honor. In addition to averaging a career-high 16.5 points per game, McMahon became a threat from 3-point range making a career-best 37.4 percent of her shots from deep.

McMahon, the No. 23 ranked recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, immediately showed what she was capable of in her freshman season, averaging 15.1 points per game as a starter in all of the Buckeyes’ 36 games.

Not only did McMahon win the Big Ten Freshman of the Year for her stellar 2022-23 campaign, but she also helped lead the Buckeyes to their first Elite Eight appearance in 30 years.

McMahon saw her scoring production dip slightly in her sophomore season (14.4 points per game), but she still scored 1,484 points over her three-year tenure at Ohio State and will depart from Columbus as the program’s 19th all-time leading scorer. McMahon joins sophomore center Faith Carson as the second Buckeye to enter the transfer portal. She will have one more year of eligibility.
