Longtime Assistant Coach Todd Fitch Joining Ohio State’s Staff As Offensive Analyst

Vanderbilt offensive coordinator and last year’s interim head coach Todd Fitch is joining Ohio State’s coaching staff as a quality control coach for the offense, according to Ohio State’s staff directory.

Fitch has been a coach in college football for 34 years, starting as a graduate assistant at Ohio Wesleyan in 1986, then coaching at various programs, including Bowling Green, Colorado State, Connecticut, East Carolina, Iowa State, South Carolina, South Florida and West Virginia.

In 2013, Fitch was hired as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator at Boston College, where he worked with Ryan Day, who was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The pair worked together for two seasons before Day left to coach in the NFL and Fitch was promoted as the new offensive coordinator in 2015.

Since then, Fitch was an offensive coordinator for four seasons at Louisiana Tech, and then last season was the offensive coordinator for the Commodores.
