Musa Jallow To Undergo Arthroscopic Surgery

Ohio State junior guard Musa Jallow is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle Oct. 18.

According to Ohio State’s director of athletic communications, Dan Wallenberg, Jallow will be out indefinitely.

Prior to the news, Jallow had been participating in noncontact drills during practices, including Oct. 16 when the first 15 minutes were open to media members.

Jallow averaged 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds across 15.0 minutes per game as a sophomore in 2018-19. The Bloomington, Ind., native shot 42.4 percent from the field (36 of 85) and 33.3 percent from three (12 of 36).

As a freshman, Jallow posted 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds across 14.0 minutes per contest in 2017-18. The 6-foot-5 guard shot 39.2 percent from the floor (31 of 79) and 25.0 percent from distance (11 of 44).

An excellent defender, Jallow, uses his combination of length and athleticism to guard an array of different players.
