Ohio State offensive lineman Quinton Burke became the latest Buckeye to shed his black stripe on Monday, affirming his status as an OSU football player.
Burke, a senior guard, became the sixth Buckeye to lose his black stripe this spring, joining fellow offensive linemen George Fitzpatrick and Tegra Tshabola, quarterback Tristan Gebbia, wide receiver Carnell Tate and cornerback Davison Igbinosun.
A native of Lancaster, Ohio, Burke joined the Buckeyes in the spring of 2021 as a walk-on along the offensive front.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Burke anchored a Lancaster (Ohio) High School offensive line that averaged nearly 30 points and 200 yards rushing during his junior season, before an injury held him out of his senior season. He earned a second-team All-Ohio Capitol Conference nod and was named an All-District honorable mention after his junior season.
