Ohio State 20.5-Point Favorites Over Michigan

For the first time since 2014, the Buckeyes are over 20-point favorites against their arch-rival Michigan.

After losing the previous three matchups with Michigan, Ohio State is expected by oddsmakers to pick up its first win in The Game since 2019.

The Buckeyes opened as 23.5-point favorites for The Game, but the spread has since gone down three points to 20.5. The 23.5-point spread would’ve been the largest in The Game since at least 1978.

In 2020, when Michigan had a record of 2-4, the point spread would have been 30 points, but the matchup was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Michigan, a preseason top-10 team in the country, has had a difficult regular season in 2024 and has a 6-5 record. Ohio State meanwhile is 10-1 with the lone loss coming on the road to No. 1 Oregon 32-31.

Ohio State won its 2014 clash with Michigan 42-28, before ultimately winning the national championship.
