Ohio State A 5.5-Point Favorite Over Texas In Cotton Bowl

After Ohio State’s second straight blowout win in the College Football Playoff, they now move onto the Cotton Bowl semifinals game against Texas, and they are favored to win again.

As of Thursday, the Buckeyes are 5.5-point favorites over the Longhorns despite the game being at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, right in the new SEC team’s backyard.

The Buckeyes have been favored in both playoff games to this point, and have shown that they deserved to be, and now they are not only the favorites in this game, but the favorites to win the national championship, which they were months ago before they lost to Oregon the first time the two teams played each other on Oct. 12.

The sportsbooks are expecting the Buckeyes to be part of a high-scoring game again, with the over/under set at 53.5 points.

Despite the shocking loss to Michigan on Nov. 30, the Buckeyes have very quickly proven that they are a top team in the country.
