Ohio State added one more feather to its 2023 recruiting cap on Wednesday, landing the commitment of Mason (Ohio) William Mason defensive end Caden Davis (6-5, 220).
Davis initially committed to Army on Feb. 1, but announced Tuesday that he would decommit from the Black Knight program. Less than 24 hours later, Davis announced that he was heading to Ohio State as a preferred walk-on.
Davis is rated as a two-star prospect by 247Sports, slotting in as the No. 309 defensive end and No. 135 recruit out of Ohio. Outside of Army, Davis held additional offers from Bucknell, Dayton, Indiana State and Navy, among others.
During the last two seasons, Davis has played both defensive end and tackle but will be an end for the Buckeyes. He finished last season with 77 total tackles, 18 1/2 for loss, and 4 1/2 sacks.
