“I’m excited to add Hevynne to our program,” Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff said in the statement. “She is a great kid that I think will add a lot to our team both on and off the court. Her mix of size and length and athleticism will be a perfect fit for our program.”
Bristow is a 6-1 guard who appeared in 29 games for the Friars in her freshman season, including three starts. She averaged 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Bristow, who is from Brooklyn, N.Y, was considered a top-100 prospect in the 2019 class according to All-Star Girls Report, and has experience playing in AAU with incoming five-star Ohio State commit, point guard Kateri Poole.
In her time playing prep ball at the Brooklyn Community of Arts and Media, Bristow finished with over 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists.
