Ohio State Basketball Great Clark Kellogg Receives Media Award From Basketball Hall Of Fame

Ohio State basketball legend Clark Kellogg was honored by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame with the Curt Gowdy Media Award on Monday.

He was one of two recipients of the electronic media award, which is given to those whose have made “outstanding contributions to basketball,” according to the Hall of Fame’s website.

After playing 86 games with the Buckeyes over three seasons from 1979-82 and averaging 14.9 points, Kellogg spent five years with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA, averaging 18.9 points per game and retiring due to chronic knee problems.

He then started with CBS Sports covering the NCAA Tournament in 1993 and has been with there ever since, serving as the lead basketball analyst from 2008-14, which included calling Final Four games.

Also honored with the Curt Gowdy electronic media award was George Blaha, who broadcasts for the Detroit Pistons. Adrian Wojnarowski and Michelle Smith received the print award.
