Ohio State Commit Five-Star Wide Receiver Chris Henry Jr. Shuts Down Recruitment, Cancels Other Visits

Ohio State no longer has to worry that five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. will end up elsewhere when the early signing period comes around since he has officially shut down his recruitment.

He has canceled visits with Miami, Oregon and USC that he had scheduled according to a report from On3. He will still take his official visit to Ohio State in June.

Henry originally committed to Ohio State on July 28, 2023, and has said that he remains committed since then, though he was taking visits to other schools throughout that time, making it to Eugene, Ore., multiple times for unofficial visits.

Now the No. 9 prospect in the 2026 class and the No. 2 wide receiver says that he will be with the Buckeyes when he heads to college, another big success on the trail for offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Brian Hartline.
