Ohio State junior cornerback Shaun Wade announced he was declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft Friday through his Instagram.
Wade was named a consensus All-American and Big Ten defensive back of the year in his final season with the Buckeyes, and finished the season with 35 tackles (24 solo), four pass breakups and a pair of interceptions.
The fourth-year junior decided to return for this season twice, once in the days following Ohio State’s loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, and then again after initially opting out of the season because of the uncertainty with the Big Ten football schedule.
Wade ends his Ohio State career with 91 total tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, 19 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and six interceptions.
