Ohio State Early Enrollees, Transfers, Others Get New Numbers

Ohio State’s first spring practice gave media a first look at the team’s new additions and the jersey numbers they will sport this season. Among the early freshman enrollees, cornerback Devin Sanchez wore No. 4, wide receivers Phillip Bell and De’zie Jones wore No. 7 and No. 8 respectively, quarterback Tavien St. Clair wore No. 9, linebacker TJ Alford wore No. 17, wide receiver Bodpegn Miller wore No. 18, linebacker Riley Pettijohn wore No. 20, safety DeShawn Stewart wore No. 24, running back Bo Jackson wore No. 25, safety Cody Haddad wore No. 30, running back Isaiah West wore No. 32, linebacker Eli Lee wore No. 33, offensive linemen Jayvon McFadden, Carter Lowe, Jake Cook wore No. 71, No. 74, and No. 76 respectively, tight end Nate Roberts wore No. 83, defensive linemen Trajen Odom and Jarquez Carter wore No. 88 and 91, respectively.

Ohio State’s new transfers also donned new numbers. Running back C.J. Donaldson wore No. 12, linebacker Ty Howard wore No. 25, defensive lineman Logan George wore No. 48, offensive linemen Phillip Daniels and Ethan Onianwa wore No. 70 and 78, respectively and tight end Max Klare wore No. 86.

The Buckeyes additionally had four players change their numbers, wide receiver Brandon Inniss changed from No. 11 to No. 1, cornerback Jermaine Mathews changed from No. 24 to No. 7, linebacker Arvell Reese changed from No. 20 to No. 8 and wide receiver Bryson Rodgers was listed on the roster as No. 21 but wore No. 13 in practice.
