Ohio State added a commitment on Saturday from former San Diego State wing Micah Parrish.
Parrish, a 6-6, 195-pounder from River Rouge, Mich., is the third offseason transfer for Ohio State, joining South Carolina guard Meechie Johnson Jr. and Kentucky center Aaron Bradshaw. Parrish averaged 9.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game last season for the Aztecs, and helped lead them to a national championship appearance in 2022-23 and the Sweet 16 this past season.
Prior to his time at San Diego State, Parrish – who has one season of eligibility remaining – spent two seasons at Oakland, where he averaged 10.5 points per game and shot 35.2 percent from deep. He was also named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team in his first season and was later named to the conference’s All-Defense Team.
With three incoming transfers as well as two freshmen in Juni Mobley and Colin White, Ohio State and head coach Jake Diebler have one scholarship spot remaining for this upcoming season.
