Ohio State Falls To No. 6 In AP Top 25 Following Win Over Youngstown State

Ohio State’s up-and-down journey through the AP Top 25 continues, as the Buckeyes – who checked in at No. 5 last week – fell to No. 6 in this week’s AP Top 25 released on Sunday.

The Buckeyes fell in the poll after No. 5 USC and No. 4 Texas – which knocked off then-No. 4 Alabama, which has since fallen to No. 10 – both jumped Ohio State, with the rest of the top five rounded out by No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Michigan and No. 3 Florida State.

Sixth is Ohio State’s lowest ranking in the AP Top 25 since finishing there in the final poll of the 2021 season, though the Buckeyes did fall to as low as No. 11 during that season. Ohio State is followed closely by No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Washington, No. 9 Notre Dame and Alabama.

The Big Ten is also represented in the poll by No. 25 Iowa, with Wisconsin, Minnesota and Maryland all receiving votes. Here is the full poll:
