Ohio State Falls To No. 7 In AP Top 25 After Loss To Michigan

After its 13-10 loss to Michigan on Saturday, Ohio State fell to the No. 7 spot in the AP top 25, dropping from No. 2, where it had been since the Week 12 edition of the poll.

Oregon remains at No. 1 followed by No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Penn State, No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 5 Georgia and No. 6 Tennessee all ahead of the Buckeyes.

This poll means nothing in terms of what the College Football Playoff rankings might look like when the newest version is revealed on Tuesday, but if these were the standings, the Buckeyes would match up against the Volunteers in Knoxville.

Following the Buckeyes to round out the top 10 are No. 8 SMU, No. 9 Indiana and No. 10 Boise State, with every other team in the top 10 other than Oregon moving up one spot from where they were the previous week, also helped by No. 14 Miami’s loss to former Buckeye quarterback Kyle McCord and Syracuse, dropping the Hurricanes from where they were at No. 8.

Illinois is the only other Big Ten team still in the top 25 at No. 21, and McCord’s Orange entered the top 25 after their win, coming in at No. 23.
