The 6-3, 330-pound Williams – who is considered the 10th-best defensive tackle and No. 160 prospect overall in the class of 2021 – had previously accepted an invitation to participate in the Under Armour All-America Game. Both games happen the same week, though, and the All-American Bowl is widely considered the nation’s premier high school showcase.
With Williams in the fold, the All-American Bowl will now feature 11 future Buckeyes. That includes Pickerington (Ohio) North five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer; Hopewell, Va., five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson; Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep five-star quarterback Kyle McCord; Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal five-star offensive guard Donovan Jackson; St. Louis De Smet four-star cornerback Jakailin Johnson; Massillon (Ohio) Washington four-star wide receiver Jayden Ballard; Streetsboro, Ohio, four-star defensive tackle Mike Hall; Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett four-star cornerback Jordan Hancock; Ironton, Ohio, four-star linebacker Reid Carrico; and Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough four-star running back Evan Pryor.
Philadelphia St. Joseph’s four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison and Richfield (Ohio) Revere four-star offensive guard Ben Christman have committed to the Under Armour All-America Game, meanwhile, giving Ohio State a nation-leading 13 commitments set to play in a postseason game.
The All-American Bowl is held annually at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Kickoff is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. ET on NBC. The Under Armour All-American Game, on the other hand, will take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast live on ESPN.
