Ohio State Freshman Offensive Lineman Joshua Padilla Loses Black Stripe
Ohio State freshman offensive lineman Joshua Padilla lost his black stripe following practice on Monday, the latest Buckeye to become an “official” member of the team.
Padilla is entering his freshman season at Ohio State out of Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne, where he was a three-star prospect. He committed to the Buckeyes over offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and West Virginia before enrolling early at Ohio State this past winter.
Padilla joins 11 other Buckeye to lose their black stripes since fall camp began, including offensive linemen Victor Cutler Jr., Luke Montgomery and Josh Simmons, defensive tackles Tywone Malone and Kayden McDonald, wide receivers David Adolph, Bryson Rodgers and Noah Rogers, and cornerbacks Jermaine Mathews Jr. and Lorenzo Styles Jr.
