According to several reports, Ohio State freshman wide receiver Bryson Rodgers plans to enter the transfer portal after one season with the Buckeyes.
Rodgers was a four-star recruit for the Buckeyes last year, but was the lowest rated among Ohio State’s four signees at wide receiver behind Noah Rogers, Brandon Inniss and Carnell Tate, the later two establishing themselves in the Buckeyes’ rotation at receiver by the end of the season.
Rodgers, meanwhile, appeared in just two games, and did not record a statistic, and will have four seasons of eligibility remaining at his new school.
Though the Buckeyes are expected to lose Marvin Harrison Jr. and could see the draft departure of Emeka Egbuka – not to mention the portal departure of Julian Fleming and Rodgers – depth in the room remains a strength with Tate, Inniss and several third-year players returning, along with incoming five-star freshmen Jeremiah Smith and Man Graham.
