It was announced on Twitter Friday that Ohio State has hired Kansas’ Erin Dunston to be the new football team’s director of on-campus recruiting.
She is replacing Tori Magers, who left her position to pursue work outside of football.
“I am forever grateful to Coach (Les) Miles for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the Kansas football program,” Dunston said in her tweet. “With that being said, I am excited to join the Ohio State football program!”
Dunston comes to Ohio State after two years of working at the same position of director of on-campus recruiting with the Jayhawks, where, in her bio with the program, the position is described as being “responsible for coordinating all on-campus recruiting efforts with a primary focus on official visits, unofficial visits, game day recruiting programming, junior days and special events.”
Prior to Kasnas, Dunston had been an athletics administration associate at Purdue, where she “collaborated with internal and external personnel to achieve organizational objectives, implement project management processes and assist with community relations and engagement,” according to her bio.
She also has experience as a graduate assistant at LSU, where she worked with the football operations staff. Dunston completed her master’s degree at LSU and her bachelor’s degree at the University of Delaware.
