Ohio State will return to Ohio Stadium following the off week for a noon kickoff against Iowa on Oct. 22 that will be broadcast on FOX. The game will also serve as a “Scarlet Out,” with fans encouraged to wear scarlet-colored clothing.
This will be the Buckeyes’ second noon kickoff of the season, along with the Week Two matchup against Arkansas State.
This is Ohio State’s first game against Iowa since a 55-24 loss at Kinnick Stadium in 2017, and its the first time the Hawkeyes have been to Ohio Stadium since 2013. The Buckeyes hold a 46-15-3 record against Iowa dating back to 1922.
The Hawkeyes are currently 3-3 and also have an off week, and should provide a challenge to Ohio State given Iowa’s defensive stature. The Hawkeyes are allowing just 9.8 points and 265 yards per game, but the offense is as bad as the defense is good, scoring just 14.7 points per game and accounting for a nation-worst 238.7 yards of offense per contest.
